City Code Violation Quiz

How familiar are you with the Columbus City Code for residential neighborhoods?  To avoid violations, consider taking this quiz to learn more about compliance and to keep Berwick one of the most admired and safest neighborhoods in the city.

City Code Violations Quiz Answers

1.     FALSE. Parking or keeping unlicensed and/or obviously damaged or inoperable motor vehicles on a property is a city code violation. (Code 3342.225)

2.     TRUE. Codes regarding the proper installment and size of a legal address is critical to fire prevention rather than style.  Legal address numbers should be posted at the property, at least four inches high and visible from the sidewalk and street. (Code 4525.09/907.05)

3.     TRUE. As a matter of safety, the Columbus city code prohibits the improper parking of boats, campers, commercial and recreational vehicles and trailers on residential streets. (Code 3342.22)  Parking is also prohibited on grass, dirt and other non-hardened surfaces. (Code 3342.24)
